    Randy Shannon to Tennessee

Word out of Knoxville is Dooley will hold a press conference as early as tomorrow announcing Shannon as DC.

Any of you Vol insiders know anything about this? Truth or Rumor?

    Re: Randy Shannon to Tennessee

Michael Palardy put a post on twitter last night welcoming Randy Shannon to the Vol family. Marcus Jackson put tweet out saying Randy told him he would see him in 7 days. I hope it's true because I think Shannon is an above average D.C. and L.B. coach. So, so far, rumor but hopefully some truth to it.

btw... hope you don't mind me posting in your thread.

    Re: Randy Shannon to Tennessee

Randy's a good assistant and a solid DC. I think as long as he can get some good cover 2 scheme players in at UT he'll be successful...because that's the key for him. He's not a defensive wizard who makes a gourmet meal out of garbage talent, he has to have talented/athletic guys to make his cover 2 based schemes work. When he has that, he's good--when he doesn't, he gets picked apart by competent OC's.

If he got hired there, then thank haysoos...mainly because that means that whatever continuing buyout $$$ that Miami had been paying him will cease when he gets that job elsewhere.

They better score 30+ if they expect to beat Arky. Bobby Olive Garden makes Shannon look silly every time.

R.I.P? Your about 14 years late. Their program has been dead since '98.

No Arkansas on next years schedule. Not sure when they will see each other again at the moment.

Probably play them once every 7 years. Since they are only gonna be playing 2 teams from the west each year now, and Bama will always be one of 'em.

Potentially, but the SEC set up next years schedule as only a one year deal. Nothing is set for next year yet. They could rejumble up everything again.
